            Hilda Baci Guinness World Records has confirmed Hilda Baci as the new record holder for the longest cooking marathon. This was confirmed on their official website today, Tuesday. Youths clash with Sharia police officials over attempt to seize alcoholic drinks in Kano

  December 15, 2021 Officials of Hisbah, the Kano State Islamic police and youths of the Sabon Gari area of the state and had a violent clash on Tuesday December 14, following an attempt to seize alcoholic drinks in the area. Daily Trust reported that Hisbah officials had stormed Ballat Hughes by Court road in the area to confiscate alcoholic drinks at a drinking joint operated by a woman but suffered a stiff resistance from youths in the area, and this degenerated to a violent clash. While sale and consumption of alcoholic drinks in Kano State is prohibited under the state’s Sharia Law, Sabon Gari area which is inhabited mostly by southerners has always been exempted from implementation of the law. The incident reportedly led to a stampede in the area and hoodlums took advantage of the unrest to loot shops and rob passers-by. Police were later deployed and normalcy was restored. UNIUYO Man O' War arrests robber at gunpoint

Officers of the Man O' War University of Uyo Command earlier today arrested an armed man who specializes in waylaying students and robbing them of valuables on campus. He was caught in the early hours of today at ECN Block by Man O War officials, after they sighted him robbing some students of their phones and laptops at gunpoint. The Man O' War officials alongside some members of Thunderbolt, who were on early morning training exercise, quickly swung into action and overpowered him, recovering a locally-made pistol, phones and a laptop. On interrogation, he gave his name as Daniel Clement and confessed to have been perpetuating the act for a while. Bomb blast, gunshots injure three APC members in Uyo

...PDP responsible for the attack - APC Campaign Council, Youth Leader allege An explosion and gunshots which rocked the campaign grounds of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State, on Tuesday night, have left at least three persons injured. The incident which occurred at about 7:30 pm was reportedly perpetrated by gunmen who arrived in a car, threw dynamite into the premises before opening fire on hapless members and supporters of the APC. It was gathered that a training programme for APC agents for Saturday's Governorship and House of Assembly elections was one of the activities which took place at the campaign grounds when the attackers struck. EFCC charges Gov Udom Emmanuel, Paul Usoro with N1.4bn fraud Shortly after taking office in 2015, the sum of N1.4bn was transferred out of the Akwa Ibom state government coffers into the accounts of a lawyer, Paul Usoro. The transfer of this money was not sanctioned by the state Government, and the purpose for which this money was transferred is yet unclear. According to the EFCC, Governor Udom Emmanuel, Paul Usoro and others “conspired among themselves to commit an offence - the conversion of the sum of N1, 400, 000, 000 (one billion four hundred and ten million naira) property of Government of Akwa Ibom State of Nigeria”.  The EFCC admits that Udom Emmanuel is “currently constitutionally immune to criminal prosecution”, however, the accomplices have been arraigned, and arrest warrants issued. Forgery case: Court keeps Innoson CEO waiting  Federal High Court in Lagos on Friday fixed Jan. 29, 2019, to hear a motion seeking bench warrant against the Chief Executive Officer of Innoson Nig. Ltd., Innocent Chukwuma, and others charged with forgery. The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the Federal Government, through the Office of the Attorney-General of the Federation had filed a four-count charge of forgery against the accused in charge number FH/L/565C/1.
