His Grace, Prophet Ekong Ituen, has called on Nigerians to commit President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to prayers, expressing concern over what he described as troubling spiritual revelations about the President’s health and the political future of the country.

In a statement dated October 7, 2026, the cleric urged President Tinubu to give priority to his health and personal well-being, stressing the importance of taking necessary precautions to avert any possible medical emergency.

Prophet Ituen appealed to Nigerians, irrespective of political affiliations, to remember the President in their prayers, citing the biblical injunction in 1 Timothy 2:1–3, which encourages prayers and intercessions for those in positions of authority.

According to him, a recent spiritual experience had raised concerns that, in his view, deserved serious reflection and prayers for the nation's leadership.

Looking ahead to the 2027 general elections, the prophet predicted a period of uncertainty and unexpected developments in Nigeria's political landscape. He further claimed that some prominent politicians seeking elective offices could die before or after the elections.

He also warned that political leaders involved in wickedness and corruption would face divine judgment, expressing his belief that God's justice would eventually catch up with those who abuse positions of public trust.

While his pronouncements reflect his personal spiritual convictions and predictions, the claims concerning the President's health and the possible deaths of political figures have not been independently verified.

Prophet Ituen maintained that prophetic messages should be understood as warnings intended to encourage reflection, repentance and corrective action rather than as unavoidable outcomes.

“True prophets are warners,” he stated, explaining that, in his view, prophecy serves as a warning and a pointer to possible future events that may be averted when the right steps are taken.

He therefore called for continued prayers for Nigeria, its leadership and the peaceful conduct of the 2027 elections.
