By Ekemini James As part of sustained efforts to deepen access to affordable, efficient and environmentally friendly transportation, Akwa Ibom State Governor, Pastor Umo Eno, will on Saturday January 24, 2026, flag-off the Construction of Ibom Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) Mass Transit Terminal. The flag-off ceremony which is scheduled to take place by 4pm and is expected to mark another strategic step in the administration's drive to reposition public transportation in line with national clean energy and cost-reduction initiatives. The Ibom CNG Mass Transit Terminal is designed to serve as a hub for CNG-powered public transportation, providing commuters with a safer, cheaper and cleaner alternative to conventional fuel-powered mass transit systems.
