Osun: 2 Ritualists in Police net

The Osun state police command has arrested two ritualists, from the arrest, some female body parts were found with them. The Osun state police spokesman said: at about 9:30pm.. a distress call was made by A hotel management where they had lodged. The management said a girl screamed twice and after that, no noise was heard again from the room. According to them the scream was like a girl calling for help. According to the management when the guys were about going, they were asked to be escorted back to the room to see if everything was fine and why the girl they came with wasn't leaving with them. The ritualist said everything was fine and the girl was resting in the room, that she was going to be out.But the hotel management insisted, even though they tried to escape , the hotel management were smart enough to had locked the premises and pinned them down. The State Universal Basic Education Board Chairman, Prof Maria Ikorok has charged Community leaders to safeguard  Basic School facilities and other public infrastructure provided in their domains to justify government's huge investment for the overall interest of the populace.  Prof Ikorok made the call while handing over a three classroom block constructed under the 2017/2018 UBE Intervention Projects at Government Secondary School, Afaha Atai, Eket LGA. She said the call  became necessary as facilities provided by the government are for the benefits of Communities, hence the  need for them to ensure its safety . AKHA ORDERS RELOCATION OF DPR, EXXONMOBIL TO AKWA IBOM

The Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly, has directed the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC), to take immediate steps to relocate the head offices of Department of Petroleum Resources (DPR) and National Petroleum Investment Management Services (NAPIMS) to Akwa Ibom State. The House also ordered ExxonMobil, one of the world's largest publicly traded international oil and gas companies to relocate its operational base to the state. The resolution followed a Motion brought before the House by the Member representing Ini State Constituency, Rt. Hon. Emmanuel Ekpenyong at Tuesday plenary. Ekpenyong in his submission, informed the House that the relocation of the head offices of DPR and NAPIMS will have the ripple effect of forcing ExxonMobil to also relocate its headquarters to Akwa Ibom State. Speaker of the Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Aniekan Bassey, has sworn in Barr. Esse Umoh as Member representing Essien Udim State Constituency. The Speaker administered the Oaths of office and allegiance on the new lawmaker at Tuesday plenary, thus, bringing the composition of the House to 26 members. Barr. Umoh won the Essien Udim State Constituency supplementary  election held on January 25, 2020, under the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and was subsequently issued with a Certificate of Return by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC). He polled a total of  18,999 votes to defeat his close rival, Hon. Nse Ntuen of the opposition All Progressives Congress (APC) who polled 7,108 votes. The Speaker, while Congratulating Barr.
