Less than 24 hours to the supplementary elections slated to hold on Saturday in three state constituencies in Ebonyi State, the candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for Ezza North West State constituency, Mr Nome Innocent, has dumped his party and joined the People’s Democratic Party (PDP). Consequently, he announced his withdrawal from the race and declared support for the candidate of the PDP, Mr Friday Nwuhuo, a lawyer. He also said that he was moving to the PDP with his teeming supporters. At a press conference held in Abakaliki, the state capital, Nome who was flanked by the PDP’s candidate and other chieftains of the party, said that he took the decision on his free volition.
