Celebrating 70 Years of Faithfulness: Obonganwan Dorah Ebong’s Milestone Birthday

The Federal Character Commissioner, Obonganwan Dorah Ebong in the middle of this October month is set to celebrate her Platinum Jubilee, marking a remarkable journey of faith and service to God and humanity. 


70 is a key to nationhood and Dorah is a fulfilled mother of nations just as the psalmist says: "Now also when I am old gray headed, O God, forsake me not, until I have shown thy strength unto this generation, and thy power to everyone that is to come" conf. Ps. 71:18. At 70 she has amassed a wealth of knowledge and life experience that serves as a guiding light in navigating life's twist and thorns. Her accumulated wisdom offers valuable insights into handling challenges and making some sacrifices that is affecting so many lives positively. 



As a result of this proven integrity and to honor this special occasion, a dedicated committee of friends has organized a week-long celebration filled with meaningful activities from October 15th to 20th, 2024.


At 70, it has really been years of faithfulness to God and service to humanity, therefore, days have been set aside from day 1: October 15th. The Community Connections will commence and the festivities shall kick off with heartfelt visits to local schools in her village, fostering a sense of community and connection. This will be followed by a nostalgic lunch with her classmates from ETINOSA C-73, rekindling cherished memories and friendships. 



Dorah Ebong is a woman of proven reputation and impeccable character, with justifiable service to God and contributions to humanity as usual and would definitely play out this day. 


Days 2 to 4: October 16th to 18th - there will be Health Outreach as

the celebration continues with a Free Medical Outreach at the Primary Health Centre in Ikot Ayan Ikono, Uyo. This initiative underscores Dorah's commitment to giving back to the community, providing vital health services to those in need. This will be the beginning of a year filled with continuous happiness and God's blessings for the people.



Day 5: October 19th - Family and Friends Day

On this day, family and friends will gather at her father’s palace in Ikot Ekpeyak Ikono, Uyo, to celebrate Dorah’s life and legacy. This gathering promises to be a heartfelt reunion, filled with laughter, love, and shared stories.


Dorah entering the Queens' Platinum Jubilee  signifies trust, faithfulness to God and sincerity as she opens up the grand Finale: October 20th - will be marked with thanksgiving Service. 

The week culminates with a Thanksgiving Service at the United Evangelical Church in Ikot Ekpeyak Ikono, Uyo. This service will be a joyous occasion to reflect on God’s faithfulness and the blessings in Dorah's life.


She is set to galvanize the show of discoveries in life at 70, it is a unique celebration of success, love, relationship, and testament of classical milestone with bountiful experience.

The general public, scholars, the young and the elderly, men and women of goodwill within and abroad are requested to join us in celebrating this momentous occasion as we honor Obonganwan Dorah Ebong's 70 years of life, love, and unwavering faith.
