Industrialization: Business Mogul, Arthur Eze lauds Ayade, Seeks Investment in Ginger Production

  Business Mogul and Billionaire Industrialist, Prince Arthur Eze, Tuesday expressed shock at the high level of industrialization under the Governor Ben Ayade-led administration in Cross River State. Commending Ayade for his vision and foresight, the business mogul said nowhere in Africa has he seen such widespread industries undertaken by a state government. Speaking shortly after inspecting the various industries already completed at the Ayade Industrial Park, Eze quipped: "I have never seen such a thing anywhere in Africa. ...200 U-Martha Ambassadors receives palliative About 200 Akwa Ibom indigenes from Ikono-Ini Federal Constituency have received the first of their monthly emoluments, courtesy of the U-Martha Ambassadors Scheme.  The scheme, a palliative initiative of the member representing Ikono/Ini Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon.(Obong) Emmanuel Ukpong-Udo, is an alternative income to cushion the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic which has ravaged the global economy.  The scheme is in fulfilment of a pledge made by Obong Ukpong-udo seeing the dire economic impact of the coronavirus outbreak in April 2020, and will gulp 4million Naira monthly. It is structured for 100 indigenes from each of Ikono and Ini Local Government Areas of the Constituency, and 30 of these 200 beneficiaries are students.  Some of the beneficiaries have expressed their gratitude to Hon. His appointment is for a fixed term of Five (5) years. Until his appointment, Prof. Essien served in various capacities as a member of the State Executive Council. First, as Honourable Commissioner for Science and Technology and later as Honourable Commissioner for Education. Before then, he was the Head of Department of Geology, University of Calabar. Prof. Nse Essien succeeds the Acting Vice Chancellor, Prof. Eno Ibanga, who has been appointed into the State Executive Council.
