Completion Agenda: Israel Idaisin Assures Ini People Of All-Inclusive Govt

*Party Chairman Warns Against Pull-Him-Down Syndrom

By Emmanuel Ufon

Ahead of the forthcoming local government election in Akwa Ibom State, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Candidate in Ini Local Government Area, Mr. Israel Idaisin has assured people of the area of his commitment to running an inclusive government in line with the state government’s completion agenda.

This he said, will ensure that those at the grassroots are carried along in government’s policy and planned project implementation process.

Addressing Ikono/Ini Media Professionals (IKIOMAP) at his residence in Uyo on Monday, August 24, Idaisin noted that the state government and his policy is about the well-being of the people.

He pointed out the need for stakeholders and members of the party in Ini to shun politics of blackmail, character assassination and embrace each other while working together as one united family despite the outcome of the party’s primaries, which he described as the will of the people.

“I want to give thanks to God, His Excellency the Governor of Akwa Ibom State, Mr. Udom Emmanuel, and the entire people of Ini local government area for the confidence reposed on me as a person. It is easy to test governance and very difficult to withstand critics when you are in government if you did not impact the people”, he said.

“In my first tenure, I tried to make sure that Ini is peaceful in such a way that one can sleep with his or her two eyes close. Through the peaceful coexistence we have standard markets built and some renovated in the area where our youth, women, and men do the business as against the violence we use to witness in the market”.

“Apart from that, we carried out developmental projects that many local government councils cannot compete with: remodeling of the council secretariat with a restaurant that was recently commissioned by the wife of the governor, culverts on road constructions at the council entrance with that of Ikot Udo Asan in ward two, drilling of boreholes for water supply in communities, the building of motor parks and grading of rural community roads to assist farmers to take out their farm produce”.

“I’m looking at building clusters for businesses to thrive and estate to accommodate our people with investors that will be coming in to invest in our place through the same peace accorded in my local government area”, he expressed.

Also speaking at the event, the Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Ini, Mr. Emmanuel Uma called on the people to do away with politics of Pull-him-down syndrome, misinterpretation of zoning formula arrangement and join hands with the Council Boss to build the area, adding that the election will not be won through Facebook blackmail and propaganda.
