Chapter Coordinators of Obi Datty support group and over 25 other political support groups in Akwa Ibom state including the Akwa Ibom  Students for Peter Obi (AKSPO) led by Comrade Solomon Ekong have drummed support for the governorship candidate of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP)  Senator John James Akpanudoedehe ahead of the Saturday, March 18, 2023, governorship election.



The groups made the declaration on Wednesday after an enlarged interest amonization meeting at Senator Udoedehe's country home in Uyo the state capital.

The Leader of the OBINATION group and Director of Logistics Akwa Ibom State Obidatty Campaign Council, Prince Joe Itaiba who addressed the support groups,  said all that the group wanted was equity, fairness, justice, and a candidate that can move Akwa Ibom State forward as witnessed in the impactful blueprints of Senator John James Akpanudoedehe to include training of 31thousand YOUTHs abroad with one million naira each on business to enhance importation of goods to Akwa Ibom State for the transaction.



He said the dreams of Akwa Ibom's forebears, OBINATION, and all political groups in Akwa Ibom State were for a peaceful, free, and prosperous state in line with the blueprints of Senator John James Akpanudoedehe which will uplift and lead to youth emancipation from poverty, not to mortgage the conscience of the youth on the alter of mediocrity by supporting a candidate who has nothing to offer Akwa Ibomites.



Itiaba who is also the National Publicity Secretary of the Accord party said the era of political parties fanaticism is over, hence the focus on credible candidates who can deliver based on antecedents as Senator John James Udoedehe just as  Mr. Peter Obi was supported by the group.





Also speaking Urue/Offong Oruko Coordinator who spoke on behalf of the Obi datti PCC COORDINATORS, Mr. Bassey Effa said the group decided to support the Akwa Ibom State Governorship candidate of the NNPP, Udoedehe with his group because he touched the heart of the Akwa Ibom people, their yearnings, and aspirations.


He said: “As Udoedehe approaches to solve the problems of the people who have suffered for years in the hands of a failed administration, we have decided to take our destiny into our hands and rise to uphold the visions of forebears in Akwa Ibom State and not to betray them".



“As groups, which constitute the most potent force in any society, we must stand up to our responsibilities.




"Senator John James Akpanudoedehe will rescue Akwa Ibom people out of poverty with his blueprint in the state and we so much believe and trust him, that is why we have all come out en mass to give him all our support, " he added.
