Why we Endorsed Umo Eno as our Sole Candidate - NAPGGO

By IfiokAbasi Abia

Non Indigene Alliance for Peace and Good Governance (NAPGGO),  a sociopolitical and socioeconomic group in Akwa Ibom State has given reasons for endorsing and adopting Pastor Umo Eno, PDP gubernatorial candidate for the forthcoming elections.

Speaking during her meeting in Uyo, the Chairman NAPGGO, Dr. Godspower Egbono said as Non Indigenes under the aegis of NAPGGO, they  believe in the vision, pedigree and competence of Umo Eno as an entrepreneur to govern Akwa Ibom State.

In his words, "Pastor Umo Eno has served God in various capacity faithfully over the years. He is leading a large congregation, and if he could lead a large church very well, he would lead Akwa Ibom State to her place of pride.

"He is the type of Christian that we have been looking for as a leader. There is no doubt in our minds that his leadership will consolidate on the existing peace we are enjoying now, and usher in more prosperity to all Akwa Ibomites and the non indigenes too. Bearing this in mind, we are gathered here today, to declare our total support and the PDP Guber candidate and his Divine project.

"We herein pledge unequivocally, that we are confident to deliver at least scores of votes across the three senatorial districts in the State," he added.

Egbono who was represented by the Vice Chairman, Engr. Hezekiah Fajemiseye urged the people to have faith in Pastor Umo Eno as he will win March 18, gubernatorial poll convincingly and will be the next governor of the State.

Dr. Ade-Israel Bolaji Adybite in his goodwill message said that Umo Eno is divinely arranged to succeed Governor Udom Emmanuel, adding that anything that Pastor Umo Eno does must have contention as a sign of divine involvement and approval.

According to him, "25 years ago I met Pastor Umo Eno, When he was just starting his business with five rooms hotel in Eket. There were some contentions around the land where the hotel was built. Umo Eno told me that anything he is doing and there's no contention, he would giveup because God is not there.

"One of the things he uses to know if God is involved is that there must be contention. There was a serious contention because he was not from Eket but Nsit Ubuim. At the end of the day he won. Royalty Hotel emerged with over 2000 employees.

"I can boldly tell you 75 per cent of what is happening in Akwa Ibom today is a fight Between light and darkness. Light will over come darkness. The Bible says an light shine in darkness and darkness comprehended it not."

Dr. Ade-Israel called on the people not to sell their vote. Adding that "if someone bought your vote for 5,000, is that what you would live with for the next four years? Divide 5,000 by 1460. You see, when you sell your vote, there are cheating you. Umo Eno is not a regular politician. He is an entrepreneur. He has raised businesses in hospitality industry.

That's why many politicians will be rich today and tomorrow there are poor. Politics is their only source of income. God forbid,  even if Umo Eno failed, he cannot be poor. He own businesses. It's important that we have someone who doesn't play politics, but knows the important  of businesses. I want you to be resolute, vote and defend your vote for Umo Eno,'' Adebite stressed.

Highpoint of the event was prayers for peaceful election, Pastor Umo Eno, endorsement and adoption of Pastor Umo Eno as their sole candidate come March 18th, 2023.
