Gov. Umo Eno Encourages PDP Ward Leaders to Welcome Back Returning Members


In a meeting with the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) ward leaders in his hometown of Ibiakpan Obotim Ward2 center, Nsit Ubium local government areas, Governor Umo Eno of Akwa Ibom State emphasized the importance of welcoming all returning members back to the party. 


This initiative aims to bolster and strengthen the PDP’s support base and reinforce the party’s presence across the state’s 368 wards. 


Governor Eno stressed the importance of these ward gatherings, highlighting them as an opportunity to embrace the increasing number of returnees to the PDP. 


He stressed that the party’s responsible for governance and capacity to deliver have attracted many individuals back to the fold, even after the conclusion of the last general election. 


The Governor expressed his delight in the increasing number of members returning to the PDP and emphasized that this development showcases the party’s stronghold in the state. 


He encouraged party faithful to continue supporting his administration, as it has demonstrated both capacity and competence in delivering on its promises. 


The PDP Chairman of Ibiakpan-Obotim Ward2, Mr. Ukpong Michael, echoed Governor Eno’s sentiments, urging party members to maintain their support for the Governor’s administration. 


The meeting served as a platform for the PDP to reaffirm its commitment to responsible governance and grassroots engagement, as it seeks to further consolidate its position in the state. 


As the PDP in Akwa Ibom State prepares for the future, Governor Umo Eno’s call for unity and the welcoming of returning members underscores the party’s determination to build a robust, strong and inclusive political platform that caters to the needs of all its members.
