Prophet Ekong Ituen has raised fresh concerns over the Federal Government’s counter-terrorism efforts, warning that alleged infiltration of insurgent sympathisers within President Bola Tinubu’s administration could undermine the ongoing fight against terrorism. In a statement issued on December 8, 2025, the cleric said President Tinubu is committed to combating terrorism but may have unknowingly placed trust in individuals who do not support his mission. He argued that only divine intervention, alongside careful internal scrutiny, would expose those working against the government’s security objectives.
