PEN PUSHERS INTENSIFY TRAINING AHEAD OF FRIENDLY GAME AGAINST ICAN





The Football team of the Nigeria Union of Journalists NUJ Akwa Ibom State Council, the Pen Pushers will put finishing touches to their preparations as they gear up for the novelty match against members of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria, ICAN football team slated for Wednesday 8 December as part of activity to mark the 2021 Press Week.


The Pen Pushers have scheduled two training sessions ahead of the game. The first training session has been fixed for Friday 3rd December at 5pm and another session on Monday 6th December 2021 at the NUJ Press Centre playground by 5pm. 


Meanwhile on Tuesday, the NUJ Chairman, Comrade Amos Etuk presented two match balls to the Captain of the Pen Pushers, Bassey Ibiatisuho as well as the Captain of the NUJ female team, Mary Ekere to commence training and charged the NUJ teams to go for victory. The female team will be taking on NULGE female football team also on December 8.


The players are to report with their training kits at the NUJ Press Centre at least fifteen minutes before the training time.
