The entire Ibiaikot group of villages in Nsit Atai Local Government have thrown their weight behind the aspirations of His Excellency Mr. Udom Emmanuel and their beloved son in whom they are well pleased, Rt. Hon. Mark Esset.

The converge which was hosted at the State of the Art Asan Ibiaikot, Idiamba village, witnessed the collective endorsement of Rt. Hon. Mark Esset to continue as the Honourable Member representing Nsit Atai State Constituency in the Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly beyond 2019.

Setting the tone for the epoch making event, the National Coordinator of Ibiaikot Group of Villages, Noble Emmanuel Okono appreciated the entire sons and daughters of Ibiaikot for thronging out in their numbers to honour the event. He lauded the Lawmaker for facilitating the renovation of the Asan Ibiaikot (Ibiaikot Civic Center). The coordinator of Ibiaikot Group of Villages appraised the achievements of the Honourable Member and scored him higher above his contemporaries.

In his remarks, a great son of Ibiaikot Group of Villages, Otuekong (Hon.) Raphael Bassey harped for a collective peaceful coexistence amongst the entire people of Ibiaikot. Otuekong Bassey who is also the Political Leader of Nsit Atai charged all the indegines of Nsit Atai with aspirations to take the bold step of making known their aspirations, rather than resorting to cheap blackmail and pull him down syndrome. He further preached unity amongst all the people of Nsit Atai Local Government area.

While lending his support to the aspirations of Rt. Hon. Mark Esset's reelection, the immediate past Transition Chairman of the Council, Otuekong Uduak Ekpeowo made his avowed promise of his support and that of the entire Afaha Group of villages. Hon. Uduak Ekpeowo charged the entire persons of Nsit Atai extraction to operate a united front so as to move Nsit Atai Local Government to an enviable height.

Others who spoke in glowing terms of the pragmatic leadership of His Excellency, Mr. Udom Emmanuel and the Effective Representation acumen of Elder Mark Esset where Hon. M. C. Akpan, South South Zonal Officer of the People Democratic Party (PDP), Hon. Idorenyin Inyang, the Executive Vice Chairman of Nsit Atai Local Government Council etc.

In his response, the Honourable Member representing Nsit Atai State Constituency, Rt. Hon. Mark Udo Esset thanked his kith and kin for their show of love and support for his administration. He promised them of his continuous effective representation beyond 2019.

The visibly elated Lawmaker preached for a comprehensive peaceful coexistence amongst his kith and kin and he charged them to inculcate a progressive mindset so that much development can be achieved in their midst.

Elder Mark Esset specifically went on his knees before the Traditional Rulers to sue for a lasting peace and unity amongst the Traditional Institution. He went ahead to exhibit his unflinching respect to the Traditional Institution.

The highpoint of the event was a collective session of prayer of blessing for Rt. Hon. Mark Esset and his future aspirations by the Men of God and the Traditional Institution. And the entirety of Ibiaikot Group of Villages endorsed his re aspiration for the House of Assembly seat.

Other dignitaries who graced the event were the Deputy Leader of Nsit Atai Legislative Council, Hon. Edo John Nyong and councilors of Ward 5 and Ward 8 and others too numerous to mention.
