AKWA IBOM IS READY FOR BIG MOVIE INVESTORS... Mr Akan Okon.
The Akwa Ibom State Governor, Mr Udom Emmanuel has assured that the State is ready to host big movie producers henceforth as he has provided the necessary infrastructural facilities to enable the movie producers relocate to the State for big movie productions.
Mr Akan Okon who spoke on behalf of the Governor stated this when he received the National President of Actors Guild of Nigeria, Prince Emeka Rollas recently in his house in Uyo. Mr Akan Okon who is the Honourable Commissioner for Housing and Special Duties noted that with the commencement of business activities at the Four Point by Sheraton hotel in Ikot Ekpene in two months and the Ibom Hotels and Gulf Resort, big movies should be brought to the State to also provide employment opportunities for Akwa Ibom youths who are interested in the movie industry.
On his part, the National President of Actors Guild of Nigeria, Prince Emeka Rollas thanked the Governor for always supporting Actors in the State. He pointed that he was in the state for a two days working Visit, and that he is satisfied with the facilities he has seen in the State which will further boost big movie productions, and that Akwa Ibom will soon become the next Nollywood hub in the country.
He also thanked the Honourable Commissioner for always standing by the State Chapter of the Guild whenever he is called upon to do so. He posited that with the flagoff of the voters registration sensitization exercise done by the State Chapter of AGN, and other advocacy campaigns, the Guild is set to return the same support to the Governor by mobilizing the citizens to get their Permanent Voters Card(PVC) so they can be part of the electoral process come 2019 and beyond.
Prince Emeka Rollas was accompanied by the State Chairman of AGN Comrade Emmanuel Owuala, the State Chairman of Kaduna State Ahjia Salma Ibrahim and the SA to the National President, South South, Miss Pamsilva Sikpo.
