Senator Godswill Akpabio is our Leader

Prior to the end of OBONG Attahs administration, Emmanuel
Ukoette, a dynamic youth leader who led a coalition of youths
across the state in support of
the administrations re-election
was only appointed personal
assistant to the then governor on youth mobilization barely few months to the end of the administration. Today that same youth was appointed first,
as special assistant to the governor on environment, later
GM Ibom Taxi Scheme and today, a three  term member of the green chamber of this
country all because of Akpabios
Boys to Men leadership
development philosophy. I remember vividly the commissioning of the un
completed stock exchange building located on the Udo
Udoma business district and the public outburst and reservations of the then president of the commission, over the deceit of
such commissioning. I
remember how a visibly angry former president of this country asked for the IPP to switched on
when he was invited to commission the plant, even after the programme for the
event had been changed from commissioning to inauguration.

I remember when the same president was shown the science park, the former governor had informed his guest that he was replicating the technology hub called Silicon Valley in Akwa Ibom and because of the brilliance of the idea, that project earned a
status of a free trade zone of sort. But inspite of all these after
5.2 billion naira of the 5.9 billion naira project cost had been paid. In upfront to the South African firm, SPBT Jules, where is the
project today?

No one cried when an aircraft
maintenance company, DynCorp
was handed an open ended contract for the development and construction of Ibom
Airport? As at the time Godswill took office, about 170billion dollars had been expended and
work achieved was barely 13%.

For doubts, see the handover notes. I remember now presidential aide, Sen. Ita Enang screaming then during a tour of
the akwa caucus in the house of rep that in his 23 years of legal
practice, he has never seen an open ended contract where a
contracting firm collected huge sums of money bi monthly for
project execution without a valid or corresponding delivery
obligations. But it is on record that Godswill Akpabio landed
the first plane on that airport barely 2 years in office to mark akwa ibom day. Obong Attah
and senator Godswill Akpabio are
leaders who gave their best for the state, one was a David and
the other a Solomon. I believe in
the positivity of leadership. So
those dwelling in the negativity
of yesterday should remember
that they are only venting their long held personal anger against their subjects of discussion. We should be discussing today how to get Nigeria out of the circus
ring today because whatever happens in Abuja will affect Uyo. This animosity against senator Akpabio won't take us anywhere. It Must Stop.

Lets give our leaders the credit they deserved
Let us learn how to celebrate our own Leaders
Senator Godswill Akpabio is our LEADER
