The Youths of Ikot Ekpene Federal Constituency has commended Divine Mandate Community service as they doled out palliative and cash gift to the people today held at Martha Udom Emmanuel Women Development Center, Ikot Ekpene Local Government Area.


Speaking at the event, the Special Assistant to the Governor on Research and Documentation, Mr. Essien Ndueso applauded the youths for their show of love and unwavering solidarity to Governor Udom Emmanuel in the last five years in office. He added that the present administration is the administration of the youths and it's passionate the youths and well-being of the youths in the state.

The Governor aide reiterate that more succor is coming in no distant time as the Completion Agenda is focused on youths capital development and self reliance toward improving their living standard.


Ndueso urged those who have not benefit in the first tranche to be hopeful as the second tranche will be their turn.

He charged them to adhere to the Nigeria Center for Disease and Control, NCDC directives such as frequently hand washing, apply hand sanitizer where no water is close, proper used of facemask and social distance. Adding that the novel Corona virus has no cure.


Essien Ndueso maintained that anyone with this symptoms like lost of smell, headache, high body temperature, sour throat, difficulty in breathing etc should not mistake it for malaria and embark on self medications but call the toll free number for proper medical attention.


Responding to government gesture, Comdrade Joseph John thanked the Executive Governor of Akwa Ibom State, His Excellency, Mr. Udom Emmanuel for taking the welfare of the youths a top priority. He also congratulated him for his victory in the reelection and at the Supreme Court. He assured the governor of continued support beyond 2023.


In the same vein, Ms. Mary Akpan lauded Gov. Udom Emmanuel  for his developmental strides in infrastructure by completing Ikot Ekpene - Uyo road dual carriage way. Noting that the project will build economic development and prosperity to the people in the area. She pledge continue support to the state government to deliver more dividends of democracy to the people.
