  ... reiterates commitment to celebrating outstanding indigenes  Akwa Ibom State Governor, Pastor Umo Eno, has described the Mayor of Islington in the United Kingdom, Jason Utitofon Jackson, as a distinguished Ambassador of the State whose accomplishment is a beacon of inspiration to the youths and people of the State. The Governor made the remark when he received Mayor Jackson and his family who were on a courtesy visit at the Governor's Lodge, Uyo. Mayor Jackson, a native of Ika Local Government Area and his family are in the State to take part in the 38th anniversary celebration of the State's creation. ARISE AGENDA: GOV ENO TASKS YOUTH COUNCIL ON COLLABORATION, SYNERGY

  Akwa Ibom State Governor, Pastor Umo Eno, has urged the newly elected leadership of the State chapter of National Youth Council of Nigeria to synergize with his administration, and  eschew parochial sentiments in order to advance the ARISE Agenda. Speaking while receiving the new youth leaders, the youths- loving Governor who, dressed in shorts and Polo tee- shirt, having just returned from the gymnasium, said he was very particular about the youth development,hence his administration's decision to create a separate Ministry for Youth Development.
