Akwa Ibom has established itself as the Vanguard of the APC in the South-South, with President Buhari bringing in a number of Akwa Ibomites into the governance circle - including Ita Enang, Nsima Ekere, Godswill Akpabio, Udo Udoma and many more.
To further strengthen the friendship and to support Nsima Ekere as he campaigns for Governor of Akwa Ibom State, President Buhari will be landing in Uyo tommorow, Monday the 4th of March, 2019.
The strong ties between the Federal Government and the state APC mean that if Nsima Ekere wins the election, it is likely that there will be far stronger cooperation between the state and the federal level - leading to accelerated infrastructure development and a lot more support for farmers and entrepreneurs.
The prospects of the Ibom deep sea port become very likely then, as such large scale projects generally need full cooperation between the federal government and the state government, and the animosity displayed by the PDP towards the federal government has stalled the project for a long time now.
The friendship between the Federal Government and Akwa Ibom State has traditionally been strong, and the mood on the street makes it clear that Akwa Ibomites are tired of suffering as the opposition.
Akwa Ibom welcomes President Buhari as he arrives tomorrow.
