Governor Udom Emmanuel has reportedly surrendered to President Muhammadu Buhari, begging to be allowed to join the All Progressives Congress (APC), after the elections.
This move comes shortly after Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, whom he supported with everything, including allegedly colluding with the Independent National Electoral Commission to scuttle President Buhari's reelection bid lost out at last Saturday's polls.
In an attempt to make amends, Gov. Emmanuel had shortly after INEC's declaration of President Buhari as Nigeria's President-elect, put a phone call to the number one citizen, congratulating him on his victory at last Saturday's polls.
Currently, Udom is reportedly sending emissaries to beg President Buhari to support him to win his reelection bid as Governor on March 9, 2019.
This is coming after he had previously failed to secure Buhari's support on mutual understanding that would allow him remain in the PDP but still giving him full support.
This revelation comes on the heels of recent propaganda propagated by agents of the state government alleging that Obong Nsima Ekere, the governorship candidate of the APC had withdrawn from the race.
