The Akwa Ibom State Deputy Governor, His Excellency, Mr. Moses Ekpo has lauded the leadership and the Ika 2020 NUJ Thanksgiving Service committee for the theme and putting God first in the affairs of the Union.

The Hon. Commissioner of Information, Akwa Ibom State, Sir Charles Udoh today, Sunday 19, 2020, joined the Deputy Governor, Mr. Moses Ekpo MFR to attend the 2020 annual Thanksgiving Service of the state Council of the Nigerian Union of Journalists, NUJ.


With the theme, "Unity in the Bond of Peace" the Thanksgiving Service was held at Qua Iboe Church, Ikot Akpan Anwa in Ika Local Government Area.


Speaking at the occasion, the Commissioner of Information, commended the state council of the NUJ for remembering God in their dealings stating that the gesture keys into vision of Governor Udom Emmanuel in always surrendering  governance of the state to God at the beginning of every new year since his assumption of office.


Sir Charles Udoh reiterated that, as the era of politics has come and gone, Journalists, as dependable partners in the development of the state should bury all other interests and divides and Chanel their pens into such reportage that will market Akwa Ibom State and project the government in good light.
