In a strong show of commitment to education and youth development, Eboho Nto Annang Foundation has distributed over 7,500 customized exercise books and other educational materials to pupils across eight local government areas of Akwa Ibom State under what they tagged " Operation Jak Ajen Aka Ngwed"
The week-long outreach, which also featured sensitization programs and career counseling sessions, was designed to complement the Akwa Ibom State Government's free and compulsory education policy and to encourage pupils to remain focused on their studies despite socio-economic challenges.
Speaking during one of the distribution ceremonies, the President of the Foundation, Adede. Victor Edwin Abel, described education as the most valuable investment any child can receive, noting that its rewards are immeasurable.
“Education is the best thing that can happen to you,” he told the pupils. “I was once like you. I endured hardship and discipline in school, and today I can stand before you because education paid off. Read your books every day, respect your teachers and elders, and take your studies seriously so you can become doctors, lawyers, nurses, pharmacists, and other professionals.”
Adede. Abel further encouraged the pupils not to allow their family background or present conditions to dampen their hopes. “Do not look at your circumstances and lose hope in life. You can change the story of your family if you are determined and focused,” he said, while also cautioning them to shun violence and misconduct in school.
After the exercise in Ikot Ekpene, the Foundation proceeded to Government School, Nto Ndang, Obot Akara Local Government Area, where Adede Abel reiterated that the initiative was aimed at inspiring hope and changing narratives among young people.
He explained that one of the core missions of the Eboho Nto Annang Foundation is humanitarian service, with a focus on giving hope to the hopeless and supporting initiatives that uplift humanity.
The Vice President of the Foundation, Adede Etieno Brownson Akpan, also emphasized that the outreach was part of a broader tour across Annang-speaking local government areas, including Abak, Oruk Anam, Ukanafun, Etim Ekpo, Essien Udim, Ika, Ikot Ekpene, and Obot Akara.
