Be an asset for security Ak CP tells youths

The Commissioner of Police, Akwa Ibom State Command, CP Adeyemi Ogunjemilusi has called the people most especially youths of Akwa Ibom state to be an asset for security.
Ogunjemilusi made this called recently at security conference for village youth presidents held in Ikot Akpan Abia.
In his words, "cultism is detrimental to our society. We don't want industrialisation, wealth creation, employment opportunities among others to be in paper but a reality that can engage the youths to desist from crimes", he stressed.
CP Ogunjemilusi frown at the increasing rate of crimes such as kidnapping, murder, cultism and to mentioned but a few across the state.
He maintained that it is unfortunate that it happened in civilized state like Akwa Ibom.
According to him, "after this conference some group of person still feel it is right to still terrorise the state, we will make sure they will no longer be a threat to our society.
CP Adeyemi Ogunjemilusi reiterated that the essence of the gathering is to bring the youths out of crimes.
He urged all political gladiators of Akwa Ibom state to be agent of peace and promote peace at all cost.
The Speaker Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly (AKHA), Rt. Hon. Onofiok Luke in his goodwill message commended the CP Adeyemi Ogunjemilusi for taking the right step to address the rising criminal elements in the state.
Luke assured him of pathnership with the government of Akwa Ibom to fight crimes.
The Commissioner for Women Affairs and Social Welfare, Dr. Glory Edet and the Commissioner for Youths and Sports Mr. Monday Ebonguko who was represented by the Director in the Ministry, Dr. David Umo thank the CP Ogunjemilusi for being a youth friendly commissioner of police.
They assured him government assistance to fight crimes and urged him to increase the tempo to bring men of under world to book.
In the same vein, the Special Assistant to the Governor on Security, Capt. I. Ekong Rtd said no criminals can perpetuate crimes for more than six months and they is no criminal that can last for two years.
He called on youths to stay out of crimes. Adding that Nigerian security agencies has the capacity to arrest, persecute and destroy
