 2019: Esit Eket Youths root for Akpanuso

Youth of Esit Eket Local Government Area under the aegis of "USORO AKPANUSOH BELIEVERS" has called on the member representing Esit Eket/Ibeno state constituency in the sixth assembly, Rt. Hon. (Dr. ) Usoro Akpanusoh to contest for another term of four years after 2019.

The youths made the declaration while presenting their goodwill message to the lawmaker during a courtesy visit on the house member in uyo.

In a goodwill message signed by the group coordinator Akparawa Akanimo Inuaeshiet and,secretary Comrade Iberedem Akadu; the youths commended the lawmaker on his pragmatic performances in the sixth assembly and promised to reelect him (Usoro) as their representative come 2019.

The coordinator, Akparawa Inuaesiet appealed to the assembly man to always liaise with the group in the implementation of constituency projects and other programs.
Inuaesiet also solicited the support of the lawmaker to ensure the youths are justifiably empowered either by appointments or other services from government in other to spur youths participation in politics.

Dr. Usoro while thanking the leadership of the youth group urged the youth to remain firm in supporting Udom administration. He assured them of bridging and aligning every lingering issues affecting the group by responding and involving them accordingly.

Usoro noted that though, he has been meeting individually with some of the group members.
He acknowledged that the visit is the first since his assumption in office.

The lawmaker whose impeccable display of legislative prowess during the 2018 budget defense organised for MDAs, urged the leadership of "Usoro Akpanusoh believers" to always schedule time for constant proactive interaction in regards to governance and legislative leadership.

He used the medium to call on the people of Esit Eket to partner with Governor Udom administration to bring development to the area.

Usoro counselled the group members to be cautious of their actions and words stressing that it will be worthwhile if they could learn living in the image of God which entails truth and purity.

He urged the group members to understand the importance of reviewing their character and attitudinal behaviour adding that, now is the time to reshape and discipline oneself in other to show true leadership attributes that can positively influence the lives of others for the betterment of the populace.

Dr. Usoro also announced his readiness to consistently incorporate the group into his activities and programs. He however promised to include some of the group members as beneficiaries of his scheduled constituency and empowerment program coming up shortly.

Responding to wide agitation calling on him to contest for a second term base on wide acceptance of his representation, the lawmaker who is the chairman appropriations and finance committee / deputy paramount ruler in the sixth assembly told the group that "there is strong agitation for him to run for a second term in 2019; when it becomes so high, I must yield to the opinion of the people".

 " just as I have represented you in my first term with noble legislative legacies, I am very convinced the renewal of your mandate for me to run for a second term will be a boom that all will testify; By this, am pleased to inform you that anyone that will be running for state house of assembly position should be ready to proof to us in PDP his/her score card". Usoro said.

He reassured that the grace of God and support from his constituents which gave him the platform to represent Esit Eket / Ibeno state constituency will be reactivated and ready to renew the mandate again in 2019.

Akpanusoh however reiterated his earlier promise of sponsoring the training of youths from his constituency in specialise skills acquisition to enable them obtain certification qualifications in compliance with oil companies requirement operating in the area.
He said the training will include scaffold,fire-watch, Safety officers and other areas as may be required.
