Insecurity: Gunmen invade Ituk Mbang  Community
...abduct 3, killed 2, houses, cars burnt to ashes ors critically injured
...residents call for government's intervention

Saturday night was the most grievous moment for residents if Ituk Mbang Community as unknown gunmen invaded the community and killed about two people, abducted some, set houses and Cars ablaze and cartered away with properties worth millions of naira, while others were seriously injured are left in a local clinic to suffer.

According to some survivors who spoke with our reporter yesterday, the hoodlums started operations at exactly eight o'clock in the evening of Saturday with a house to house search, rape innocent women and injured many as well as releasing bullets on those who tried to escape.

Meanwhile, a survivor  described it  as strange in the history of  Ituk Mbang community, Uruan Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom State.

Another victims of the hoodlum said that such things has never happened in the community called on government and security agencies to come to their aid.

"They stole my two laptops, 20 pieces of phone in a cartoon, 6 phones that was on the showcase and 20 pieces of customers phones.
Mr Solomon Edem and Ms Elizabeth Effiong, whose house was burnt to ashes lamented why the violent youths came and push them to untold hardship in a time like this.

Irate youths has cause life unbearable insecurity for the area says one of the road users in the community.

"They held three person and wanted to cut into pieces but they struggled and narrowly escaped. After that incidents, Hospital road,  Ituk Mbang was block motorists was robbed of their valuables.

"Any person that attempted to resist their operation was cut mercilessly with matchet by the gangsters.
Not more than three keke nappe and two motorcycles was asconded", Eye witness narrated

The doctor report has it that one Victoria Ini Effiong that was shot; is in the hospital with bullets. It required the sum of 200000 naira only to operate her.
