The turn is for Ikot Ekpene

The meeting therefore resolved as follows:

That since the inception of the present democratic dispensation in 1999, Ikot Ekpene Federal Constituency seat in the House of Representatives, has been on rotational basis between the three component Local Government Areas, namely; Ikot Ekpene, Essien Udim and Obot Akara, and it should remain so.
That within this period under review, no representative from any of the mentioned Local Government Areas has ever repeated representation of his/her tenure.
That 2019-2023 is the turn for Ikot Ekpene Local Government to do its two terms in the House of Representatives as enjoyed by the other two Local Government Areas.
That the Ikot Ekpene PDP Caucus/LEC will not concede the rightful turn of the people of Ikot Ekpene to any other Local Government Area within the Federal Constituency, under any circumstances whatsoever come 2019.

That the PDP Caucus / LEC have the responsibility and duty to protect the interest of the entire people of Ikot Ekpene Local Government Area and is poised to do so.
That the leadership of the PDP at the National, State, and the Local Government areas must ensure that justice, equity and fairness prevail to guarantee the success of the Party at the forth coming elections and for the sustenance of peace in the Federal Constituency.
That it is only when the three component Local Government Areas are on the same level in terms of two terms representation, that the issue of repetition of tenure by any local government through a conference district Caucus/Executive decision shall be considered.
The PDP Caucus/LEC and the entire PDP family in Ikot Ekpene L.G.A will remain steadfast in the support of his Excellency's Administration and the leadership of the party in the State, with the hope and believe that the interest of the people of Ikot Ekpene, as the mother Local Government Area in the Federal Constituency, will be adequately protected and preserved.
