...SET TO HOLDS FIRST EVER ECONOMIC SUMMIT FOR LG

President, Nigeria Union of Local Government Employees (NULGE) Akwa Ibom State Chapter, Lady Anestina Iwah has expressed capacity, doggedness, and leadership examplaralism to hold first ever economic summit at the Local Government level.

The Akwa Ibom State NULGE leader presented her score card while briefing the press in Uyo as activities marking the 2018 NULGE week.
According to Iwah, " the week long event started with a Thanksgiving service at Qua Iboe Church. Ikot Ekpene road Uyo, seminars for junior staffs from level 01 to 06 at the Local Government, novelty football match, free eye test and issuing reading glasses that is ongoing, commissioning of Secretariat, visited motherless baby homes across the three senatorial district of the state.

"Monday 21May, 2018 is aside for the climax of the event like match pass at Uyo Township Stadium while Gov. Udom Emmanuel will be special guest of honor among other dignitaries.

Lady Anestina Iwah reiterated that the economic summit will boast economic activities among Local Government Areas to the emerging opportunities. Adding that Prof. Akpan Hogan Ekpo former vice chancellor of University of Uyo and member, Nigeria Economic Team will present lead paper on the theme: "Local Government a new development paradigm"

"NULGE will bestow awards to outstanding individuals and cooperative organization that contributed toward improvements of the entire Local Government service in the state.

She commended Governor Udom Emmanuel for being a listening governor, good welfare packages, solving the challenges of Local Government service.
