Mkpat Enin PDP Disowns Udo Sam Umoatan

Chapter executives and the 14 ward Chairmen of the Peoples Democratic Party in Mkpat Enin local government area have expressed dismay over the recent action of Mr. Udo Sam Umoatan who according to them, took a backdoor to repeat a process they have already concluded.
In a release made available to our reporter, the party had already resolved to deliver Governor Udom Emmanuel for a second term in office and needed no advice or instigator to do so, noting that PDP in Mkpat Enin is at the forefront of contact and mobilisation and every supporter of the Governor is expected to queue behind the party.
Mr. Umotan whose detested present caused fiasco in a meeting held by PDP Chapter officials and Ward Chairmen at PDP secretariat in Mkpat Enin, was said to be secretly invited to the meeting by the PDP chapter chairman of the area, Mr. Anietie Sunday Akpan for image laundry and to be accepted back into the party, using the name of the state party office without due consultations.
They noted that Umoatan who is a one time Chairman of Mkpat Enin local government council is yet to be known to PDP in Mkpat Enin as he was the agent and coordinator of ANPP in 2011, and Labour Party in 2015 respectively.
The release reads in part "Udo Sam Umotan is yet to be known to the PDP in Mkpat Enin as he was the agent and coordinator of ANPP in 2011 and Labour Party in 2015 where he fermented problems at the INEC office in Mkpat Enin. If his Party had won in 2015, would he be talking about PDP today?
"Umotan's pedigree and antecedents are questionable and as such the PDP in Mkpat Enin can not build trust around him because we cannot authoritatively tell where he will be in 2019."
The release also mentioned that Mr. Umotan was recently received back into the PDP family by his ward chairman, but advised that he queued behind rather than struggling to take the front seat, noting that any forceful imposition of Umotan shall be resisted by the people of Mkpat Enin.
"If we had left the party the way he did, there would have been no PDP again in Mkpat Enin. If the party did not win the first term, we won't be talking about second term now. Umotan may wish to support PDP now but not to lead in any form not even in his ward", they implored.
