AKSG REITERATES COMMITMENT TO QUALITY EDUCATION

  Josephine Etuk Akwa Ibom State Government has reiterated its resolve to achieving qualitative  education through responsive , accessible and integrated academic system. ITU COUNCIL CHAIRMAN FLAGS-OFF ROAD GRADING EXERCISE

  By Patrick Antia The Executive Chairman of Itu Local Government Council; Hon. Barr. Etetim Onuk on Tuesday flagged off another phase of road grading excercise in Itu Local Government Area with the grading of AEC works road, Ekit Itam 2. Addressing newsmen shortly after the flag-off, the Council Boss stated that the road grading excercise would improve transportation between communities and also ease rural-urban trade. He posited that having motorable access roads in rural areas remain a major avenue to boost socio-economic development. The Itu Council helmsman observed that apart from easy access to Ibom Specialist Hospital, the graded road will also increase access to market centers, thereby encouraging commercial farming activities and ensure agricultural products are available at affordable price.   By Edidiong Idemokon  A respected indigene of Essien Udim, Sir Emem Akpabio, has joined other spirited individuals and groups to register supports and concerns for the persons displaced in the wake of the Essien Udim crisis. Sir Emem Akpabio, who sympathised with the people, donated food items to them as palliatives during a visit to the IDP camp in Ikot Ekpene. Sir Akpabio, who encouraged the people to endure the hardship they are currently facing, noted that he is touched by their plights and assured them of his continuous support. "We, your children, your brothers and parents will continue to support you. We will continue to stand by you. We will continue to stand by Essien Udim people. We will continue to stand by the less privileged," Emem Akpabio assured.   SENATOR AKPABIO DONATES RELIEF MATERIALS TO IDPs IN IKOT EKPENE  The Minister of Niger Delta Affairs, Senator Godswill Akpabio has donated relief materials to vulnerable persons at the  Internally Displaced Persons (IDP) camp, in Ikot Ekpene Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom State.
