As the 2023 general elections draw near a renowned Estate Developer and the Pioneer National Chairman of Young  Democratic Party, YDP and The 2019  Gubernatorial YDP Standard bearer, His Excellency, Arc. Ezekiel Nya-Etok has said that Akwa Ibom People must know what government is meant for the people.

He gave this assertion when he brief the press at Uyo, yesterday. While charged the Press to be more professional as the fourth estate of the realm.

In his words, "There is a section of people who understand government as the management of the people resources in a larger interest of the people. For them what motivate them is how can I manage the resources of the people that can affect them positively. You know who's coming to contest for the office of the governor.

"Whether it is Onofiok Luke. You know him. Whether it is Obong Bassey Albert. You know him. Whether it is Akan Udofia. You know him. Whether it is Arc. Ezekiel Nya-etok. You know him. Whether it is Udom Inoyo. You know him. Who they are is who they will be as governor if anyone of them succeed. Know that what you choose is what you will get for the next four years if not eight years. Go back to the last dispensation. Look at how you are. Who has a vision for you?

"It is either the person has a vision for you or he has a vision for himself. If he has a vision for you he sacrifice it for you. Like mothers stay awake all night to breastfeed and change the diaper of the child. But if he has a vision for himself he uses you. You want eat your cake and have it back. Collect what you can, why you can and keep quiet. Allow whosoever to enjoy his or her investment.

"2023 has started already. Write it down, Whoever will be the governor of Akwa Ibom State will be determine by me. I will do everything within my powers to make sure that what happened before does not happen again by enlightening the people," Nya-Etok stressed.

He maintained that the infrastructure, economic, human capital and  manpower development are realize projects during the administration. While another section of the people see government as a business of making money from.

Nya-Etok reiterated that why he joined African Democratic Congress, ADC is because of the Social Governance ideology adoption. The party readiness for Social Governance ideology to better the grassroots by turning it to be center for development. He noted that PDP, APC have no ideology for the masses and he will never pinch tent with such parties.
