Mboho Nto Okon sets to imortalize Udondata

 



... Mboho Nto Okon floats Memorial Lecture in honour of departed academic icon

All is now set for Late Dr Joseph Philip Udondata Memorial lecture organised by Mboho Nto Okon, a socio-cultural organization in Okon Clan, Essien Udim Local Government Area.


A statement signed by the Chairman, Symposium Planning Committee, Distinguished Professor Celestine Ntuen indicates that the lecture which is part of the burial arrangement of Late Dr Udondata is also aimed at immortalizing the Late icon of English Language Morphology and Phonology.


The release also shows that the memorial lecture which has as its theme, "Morphological and Phonological Patterns in English Language", will take place on Wednesday, 21st April, 2021 at St Joseph Catholic Parish Hall, Okon, Essien Udim Local Government Area by 10 am after academic procession.


According to the release, Late Dr Joseph Philip Udondata was the Acting Dean, Faculty of Humanities at Ritman University and had also served as member, Catholic Diocese Education Committee.


It noted that Late Dr Udondata who until his death was the President, Mboho Nto Okon had contributed immensely to research and teaching in English Language and Annang Language and Culture.


He was also renowned a author of many books in English Language and had also taught a lot of persons.


The statement invites friends and colleagues of Dr Udondata to attend the Memorial Lecture.


According to the family, the remains of Late Dr Udondata will be interred at his country home, Ikot Uko Etor, Okon, Essien Udim LGA on Saturday, April 23, 2021 after a Requiem Mass at St Joseph Parish Okon, Essien Udim by 10am.
