2023 Politicking: Let’s Unite to Produce One Governor - OPE

 




...Passes vote of confidence on Udom Emmanuel 


Ahead of the 2023 gubernatorial elections to elect a successive governor, the Chairman of the Akwa Ibom State Universal Basic Education Board, SUBEB, Obong Paul Ekpo has entreated indigenes of the State to continue in unity and solidarity to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).


He said being united will enable the emergence of a credible personality to succeed the incumbent, Mr Udom Emmanuel, emphasising that only one person will be elected to man the office.  


The immediate past State Chairman of the People's Democratic Party (PDP), Akwa Ibom State who spoke at the Easter Get-Together of PDP Uyo Senatorial District in Uyo on Thursday, April 15, 2021 said “of course, it’s only one person that we will have as governor, all of us cannot be the governor.


“We believe that by the foundation of today, God has blessed the vision and the day will come when one person among us, across all offices shall emerge.


“We are not here to profess our personal interest but to put the house in order. Your house cannot be divided and you feel that decision can be taken. Therefore, let us keep this up", said Ekpo. 


Commending Uyo Senatorial District for her unity across every level, Obong Paul Ekpo, the National ex-officio of the party who also doubles as the immediate past Chairman of all the PDP Chairmen in Nigeria encouraged all to continue being united to be able to achieve a common goal.


While commended the Executive Governor of Akwa Ibom State, His Excellency Deacon Udom Emmanuel  on his developmental strides, Paul Ekpo joined voice with other stakeholders in Uyo Senatorial District to passed a vote of confidence on the governor, applauding him for accelerating the spate of development in the State especially, in the industrial sector, road networking and other infrastructures.
