GOV EMMANUEL, HIS CONSTANT VERBAL ASSAULTS ON SEN. AKPABIO

GOV EMMANUEL, HIS CONSTANT VERBAL  ASSAULTS ON SEN. AKPABIO.

By The Outward Movement.

For quite sometime now especially since the distinguished Senator Godswill Akpabio decided to  switch over to the APC, the State governor has made the act of verbal assaults and abuse on the Senator a part of his official duties. Perhaps, the name Akpabio has been allotted  a permanent space  in the list of his daily official engagements. Who knows?

Infact, how the the name Akpabio, the magic name that brought
Udom out  of obscurity to limelight has suddenly become his phobia and nightmare is something that should baffle every sane mind. Why is he running when no one is chasing him? Why? May be the problem is the haphazard assemblage of  his team from home and especially from Lagos/environs. A confused mix that has refused to gel.  They think they know it all.

The latest hysterical outburst on the Senator  was on the 27th
of Nov 2018, during the so-called world press conference immediately after the show of shame at the AKHA. As is usual with him, surrounded by his so called war lieutenants, he forgot to tell the world what he, as Executive governor was doing in the State Assembly in the middle of a crisis that is supposed to be an internal matter of the legislature. He forgot to tell the world too that he was there with thugs who caused mayhem inside the assembly and it's premises. He probably forgot at  that time too, that he was the governor and father of the whole State and not for PDP or APC.

He was such a shadow of his old self because he started a fight he cannot even fight, talk less of finishing. And those blind and desperate men that are leading him are urging him on for their selfish interests.  He is attacking and firing on all directions without watching his back. Very soon he will realise
that he is alone in this war of attrition and blackmail he has decided to wage against an innocent
man that gave him political relevance.

Instead of finding a middle way for peace as a father of all, to settle the two factions in the crisis since both sides have pending court pronouncements, he has taken side. He is  encouraging one young man,  Onofiok Luke to be disrespectful and  insolent to elders. He goes around insulting  any one that has a different political opinion  from his pay master. He has forgotten Chinua Achebe, that: 'Those whose palm kernels were cracked for them by benevolent spirits should not forget to be grateful to their Chi'. He shouldn't see unnecessary vituperations and abuse of elders  as a virtue. A word is enough for the wise. The young man actually needed some maturity through work experience before exposing him to this kind of position. We think, there lies young man's problem.

Udom Emmanuel and  his second address confusion: If a man that had been a Head boy in a Federal Govt college, (PH); If a man that had   been Speaker, Student Union Parliament, (Unical); If a man that had been a Commissioner for six years, (AKExco); If a man that had been Executive Gov of Akwa Ibom State for eight years; If a man that is currently a distinguished Senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria for almost four years and an executive member of the national assembly for more than three years; If ..... .

AND If that same man that made Udom Emmanuel Governor of Akwa  Ibom State against all odds, could be said to have no second address by the same Udom, who is the greatest beneficiary of the Akpabio political sagacity, then lets leave it  there!. Is it that he is gradually developing selective amnesia? Or is it a full blown case? If such could really emanate from him, then there is something seriously wrong somewhere and the State is in serious trouble with its affairs in such hands. We are beginning to think that this might   not  be the real Udom Emmanuel that we voted for; that Akpabio handed over to on 29th, May 2015. May be the Clone version! Pls don't laugh because the Udom we knew wouldn't forget so soon.

Yes, before we forgot, H.E. Udom Emmanuel has a second address. Who wouldn't have? After all, his first project  for the citizens of the State was the 'renovation' of a 'little' house  he had built at AWA IMAN while working in Lagos with a paltry 'N1.X' Billion. Yes, the renovation cost was 'N1.X' B. So paltry an amount!. Pls assume 'X'  to be what bankers know and do. That's political mathematics! Don't forget he claims to have been  earning  more then as an Int'l man. That is why 'N1.X' B is very paltry. We don't blame him at all!

It is also very laughable to hear from him that a man that has been  a solicitor and advocate of the Supreme Court of Nigeria for 31 years, with the achievements mentioned earlier  has no second address yet Udom Emmanuel, a former staff of Jim Ovia has. His second address is at the paltry, 'NI.X' B - renovated house at Awa Iman. Or is it Lagos? Could it be international? What a lucky Deacon! Enough of this deception,  your Excellency!

You took a wild swipe at everybody and almost anything. You attacked Akpabio, you attacked APC, Police, FG, Police Commissioner, etc. You alleged  so many things - Ak 47, Military uniforms, etc. No one was spared. You even warned the distinguished Senator to remain in Abuja. Are you banishing your 'Oga and master' from the State,?. Is that possible? Pls tell us where he should go  from Abuja.  Haba! H.E. Don't you think you are opening too many battle fronts?

The Outward movement will like to advise that you leave the Senator alone. Leave him out of the present sorry state of your administration. He is not contesting any election with you. He has been a governor before. He can't be a governor again and that is why he moved Outwards into the national arena. Pls Stop wallowing in self pity and trying to evoke unnecessary sentiments. Akwa  Ibom is politically more advanced than you think. The man Akpabio has a lot of political goodwill both in the state and national levels. No amount of your unwarranted attacks, blackmail and petty talks can change that nor pull him down. He can't come back, nay, down to your level again. Just accept this as the present reality.

H.E, Don't you think all these sponsored women wearing black to AKHA and youths from your Federal Constituency disrupting operations at mobil because of a State assembly crisis are distracting your government?. Don't you believe such govt sponsored acts are bringing negative image to the State? Pls don't allow the State to  drift under your watch in this remaining six months of your tenure. We need peace!

Once again, we remind you that Senator Akpabio is not from Eket Senatorial district. He can't contest again. Pls Save your remaining energy to battle with his former Deputy, your own brother from same Senatorial district, Obong Nsima Ekere. He is the one you are contesting with, not Akpabio. He is the man that will beat you at the polls, come 2nd of March, 2019. He is a good manager of men and resources. He is a grass root politician, administrator and a mobiliser like his former boss. He knows Akwa Ibom and Akwa Ibom people know him too. H.E.,  pls prepare for elections  and stop directing the youths to be ready for violence and your imaginary war that will never happen. Pls stop crying wolves where there is none.

Pls leave Senator Akpabio out of your present predicament. If you think you can't do without him politically, then decamp and join him in APC.

As you prepare to hand over to HE Obong Nsima Ekere on the 29th May, 2019, The Outward Movement joins other Akwa Ibomites to say thank you for your service to the State and wish you and your cabinet well in your future endeavors.

But before we go, a take from the late Senator (DR) Olusola Saraki (Senate Leader, 1979 - Dec,1983) to a man that betrayed him in 1999 after becoming a Governor:  'There are many sorrows, there is that of bitterness of death, there is one of long suffering, but there is nothing that drains the heart or destroys all hopes like treachery by someone trusted most'.
