Udom's fear of losing to Ekere in 2019 reason he's falling prey to swindlers - APC

...Says PDP Charade at Ibom Hall, a political fraud

By Augustine Akpan

The Coordinator, Forum of Past Chairmen of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Engr. Uduakobong Akpuho aka Uduak Okpo has stated that "the reason Gov Udom Emmanuel has continually fallen prey to politcal jobbers out to swindle him is because of his obvious fear of losing the 2019 elections to Obong Nsima Ekere".

Addressing a Press Conference in Eket, Monday, Engr Akpuho disassociated the group from what he described as the “Peoples Democratic Party charade at Ibom Hall today”.

Distancing his group from what he described as “PDP imaginary defection of APC foundational members and ex-chapter chairmen of APC to their party”, Uduak Okpo who spoke on behalf of the group said “What happened at Ibom hall today is nothing but a political fraud aimed at swindling Udom”.

The Coordinator who said the stage-managed defection was “a figment of PDP's imagination”, reiterated that the APC remains intact and strong in the area.

“APC has become a strong and formidable party that is ready to sweep the polls in 2019. Udom and his party, the PDP are aware of this fact.

“I can't believe any sane person leaving APC; a winning party to a loosing party.

“APC is intact in Eket Senatorial District and Akwa Ibom State generally.
“We are going to vote 100% for Obong Nsima Ekere to return as governor in 2019.

“They're only deceiving Udom to get money from him,” Uduak Okpo stated.

He said the three out of the 31 authentic past chairmen who cobbled names of innocent members of the group and presented as defectors were just mischievous about the whole show.

He said 28 members of
the party have been in Eket since yesterday to attend the child dedication of one of them which he said lasted all through the night and wondered how the same people could have been in Eket and Uyo simultaneously.

“It is so embarrassing that Udom out of desperation has allowed himself to be swindled.  “What happened at Ibom hall this afternoon was a clear case of PDP conniving with the three greedy guys to arrange PDP people to defect to PDP just to swindle the governor who”, he stated

Also speaking, Hon (Comrade) Idara Udoh,  from Ikot Abasi said he was pained that some criminally minded people could attempt to insult his person with the malicious claims.

He said the claim was nothing but malicious and blatant lies which he said remains PDP major preoccupation.

He urged members of the public to ignore such lies and continue to be steadfast in their support for Obong Nsima Ekere.

“2019 is going to be total victory for APC.

“There's no fraction in APC. It is only 3 chairmen out of 31 authentic chairmen that staged the drama.

“There's absolutely no need leaving a sailing party for a sinking party”, the former APC state youth stated.

Mr Israel Asuqwo, former chapter chairman, Etim Ekpo whose name was listed as one of the defectors said he came to Eket for a child dedication of one of his colleagues, declaring that the claim was nothing but blatant lies.

“Check the video of the PDP charade at Ibom Hall, you won't see any of these people they mentioned. They could not have been in two different places simultaneously,” the coordinator quipped.

Another falsely accused former chairman of the APC, Mr Solomon Udoudo Akpan,  former chapter Chairman, Ikot Ekpene said the party remains intact and inseparable in the area and ready to return block vote.

For Elder Mfon Ating,  former foundation party chairman from Oron, the claim was nothing but the handiwork of their former chair of chair, Hon Joseph Amah.
He said because the former chair of chair whom he said held sway between 2009 to 2013 “is doing what he feels with the list in his custody”.

He said the false alarm should be outrightly ignored.

Below is the attached list of members of the group that attended the press briefing refuting the claims.
