APC in Ikono Crashes Into PDP



***Pledges Support For Governor Udom, Macaire and Mbakara

Friday 30th November, was a solitude day for APC aspirants in Ikono local government area, as their supporters aligned and pledged their unalloyed support for all the candidates of PDP in the State, ranching from the Governorship aspirant, Mr Udom Emmanuel, Federal House of Reps Aspirant, Obong Emmanuel Ukpong-Udo and State House of Assembly aspirant, Mr Asuquo Nana Udo.


The episode occurred immediately after the remains of Late Rt. Hon. Dr. Clement Bassey was laid to rest. A group progenited by the special adviser to the chairman of council on inter-governmental relations, Hon. John Asanga snared the duo at Ikot Udo, Nkwot.


The grass rooted aspirants were forced to have an unprepared seat, meet and gist with the sea of heads who chanted melodious songs to entertain them, speaking at the sit-meet- gist, a front line woman leader in ward 6, Mrs Ekemini Aniekan Udofia thanked the two aspirants for stopping by and promised to mobilize women of the ward to vote massively for the party from the highest position to the lowest. She expressed dismay over the fucate promises of the APC and assured that the days of the devilish party are numbered.


The convener of the sit- meet-gist, Mr John Asanga praised the standard bearers for their magnanimity and down to earth attitude portrayed by them for halting to sit with the group.


"I want to thank the principal of MkpoikanaAbasi and Akwa Odudu Abasi campaign groups for stopping by to meet with grassrooters after the burial of our late leader, defiance that you came to this community to mourn with the deceased family, I want to intimate you that we will support you and the performing Governor of our dear state whose tenure has brought about industries and peace profound" he said.


Obong Emmanuel Ukpong-udo (Macaire) the federal house of reps aspirant for Ikono/Ini in his remark said that he was amazed by the show of love by the group and the ward, he applauded them for the suavity and mind blowing songs sang by the women of the ward, he promised the people life changing representation which has been lacking penultimate Years. He stressed that his tenure in the hallowed chamber will weed out ineffective representation in the constituency.


On his part, the PDP standard bearer for Ikono state constituency, Mr Asuquo Nana Udo expressed his delight by the people who despite the huge loss of the former House member by the ward, thought it wise to lay siege for them. He promised impact filled and developmental minded tenure in office when voted in to power in 2019.


The sit meet gist ended in a lasting soiree, as the remaining few members of the APC party aligned with the PDP and begged to be carried along.
