The head Coach of Banyana Banyana of South Africa, Desire Ellis says the South African senior women National football team is fearless in their aim of getting their ultimate goal of the 2018 Total African women cup of nations in Accra tomorrow against the Super Falcons of Nigeria.
Speaking in a prematch press briefing in Accra Sports Stadium, Ellis said despite making history by qualifying for the world cup, she and the Banyana Banyana are now more interested in making a double by reaching the ultimate goal of the competition which she said was lifting the trophy.
Attributing the successes of the Banyana Banyana in the 2018 African Women Cup of Nations competition to what she described as fantastic preparations, coach Ellis reiterates that her team will give good account of themselves and make double history for south Africa.
"My team is fearless, we will give good account of ourselves. Tomorrow will come down to who is more determined to lift the trophy. I am confident and looking forward to tomorrow's final. We have a lot of believe in our team. We have worked very hard and we hope to make double history for South Africa and indeed African women football tomorrow".
Meanwhile the Super Falcons coach Thomas Dennerby have maintained that his side will not change their style of play but speed up the match and improve on the attack with accurate passes even though he is not approaching the match with the mind set of revenging Banyana Banyana for the defeat in the first group B match.
"We want to win the game and players are well motivated. We want to win the game today and we must speed up the game to win today"
Also speaking, the super Falcons goalkeeper,Oluehi Tochukwu, expressed optimism that the match against the Banyana Banyana will not be as tough as the semi finals against the Indomitable lionesses of Cameroon which lasted for 120 minutes and ended in a penalty shootout .
Stating that she will keep communicating with her defender to ensure that they don't repeat the mistake in the first leg in group B Oluehi Tochukwu, hinted thus "The spirit in camp in very high, we can not wait for the game to come tomorrow, and total concentration from me not to concede is what we are praying and working on.
