UDOM INHERITED AN OVERSIZED SHOE FROM AKPABIO -EKON

Rt. Hon. Emmanuel Ekon, APC Candidate/member representing Abak/Etim Ekpo/Ika Federal Constituency has said that Governor Udom Emmanuel's greatest problem is an oversized shoe he inherited from Sen. Godswill Akpabio which has inflicted inexplicable woes and frustration on the citizenry in his three and half years in the saddle as governor of the State. He was however quick to allay the fears daily building up that Obong Nsima Ekere, the next governor of the State will not only fit into Sen. Akpabio's shoe, but that he has the capacity as well as extensive experience from his private and public sectors exposure to continue from the revolutionary transformation the former governor had begun in the State.  He frowned at misplacement of priority in the area of empowerment whereupon party officials who benefitted immensely from government ought to embark on futuristic empowerment such as skills acquisition, vocational trainings, Jamb and WAEC sponsorship and scholarships,

Mike Sabastine lauds Akpabio

Mike Sabastine, Former PDP Governorship Aspirant who just recently decamped to APC has decried about his experience in PDP. "I had long realized that the entirety of Akwa Ibom State chapter of the PDP, even the national PDP is contesting the 2019 elections against Obong (Dr) Senator Godswill Akpabio, having not been able to overcome the migration of their hope bearer to the APC. Despite their adulthood statuses, they seem to forget that all their crying should have been done in secret while carrying a matured and unperturbed appearance in the public.  "This congregation of ingrates, as constituted against Sen Godswill Akpabio by those who acted as though they could take a bullet for the uncommon performing governor in his glorious days, are very unwilling to bear saliva spikes from the mouth of an angry, sworn opponent of the lovable senator. Isn't it a shame that men who ate at his table, who also volunteered all manner of advice to the then governor and even ant

THE ADVENTURE OF A CULT ACTIVIST TURNED SPEAKER

THE ADVENTURE OF A  CULT  ACTIVIST TURNED SPEAKER Alhaji Aminu Once upon a time, there was a  cult activist in the campus. He was thus identified as a student noted for gross indiscipline and moral deficiency , This was evident in his routine misdemeanor and poor  performance in  academic tasks. His reckless and careless lifestyle only attracted him to friends and members of his cult kingdom, who appreciated his carefree, unruly corrupt social status, and this crowned him  the king of the jungle., a position he fancied but to the detriment of academics. This was contrary to the expectations of his poor parents. He was later found wanting and lost. He could not pass his test nor exams. His life was grossly darkened because he dropped out of school. His friends rejected him except those who belonged.,.. He went on cult exile and was shamelessly treated as a fug

AKWA IBOM CIVIL SERVANTS UNDER GOVERNOR EMMANUEL

By Osuini Francis Akwa Ibom Civil Servants who were once beneficiaries of Akpabiomba; an extra salary in the last month of the year, promotion arrears, leave grants and other juicy perks are today on the throes of uncertainty and resultant hardship under Governor Udom Emmanuel. The reason for the spiteful treatment they are getting from the governor is unknown to them. But they believe that if a governor they overwhelmingly voted for in 2015 and who is seeking a second term in office could unleash such hardship on civil servants in his first term, then it behooves them to be wise as they return to the polls on March 2, 2019. "In the era of Akpabio, civil servants fared well", said a civil servant who craved for anonymity. "It was our promotion arrears and other perks that we often used to buy land and build our houses each time such entitlement came", he continued. "Now no civil servant can boast of purchasing a parcel of land, not to talk of building

LESSONS FROM GOVERNOR OBASEKI

By Sampson Sampson Governor Godwin Obaseki of Edo State in South-South Nigeria was in Akwa Ibom to witness the official flag-off of campaigns of the APC gubernatorial candidate, Obong Nsima Ekere, popularly referred to as the ONE. The event which held at the Uyo Township Stadium drew a humongous crowd including the timbers and calibres of Akwa Ibom politics. But the focus of this piece is neither about the unprecedented crowd that thronged the venue nor the array of political juggernauts that were present at the event. It is also not about the fine political speeches symbolising a unity of purpose that were made. It is more about the hard facts that were contained in Obaseki's goodwill message to the candidate of APC and the good people of Akwa Ibom State. Governor Obaseki had said that in Akpabio's era, Akwa Ibom used to be the envy of other states because of its pace of development. "Akwa Ibom is a State we used to look up to with envy but after he left, all th

RE: NSIMA EKERE: THE BID TO MAKE OF AN INSOLENT A “GOVERNOR”

By Udeme Ankott  The date December 31st, 2018 would  remain historical in the annals of  Ibibio race as it was sacredly designated to witness the Coronation of Ntenyin Solomon Etuk as the 4th Oku Ibom Ibibio, which is the highest traditional stool in Ibibio heritage. The occasion as expected was filled with grandeur showcasing the rich heritage of the Ibibio people as it also attracted prominent persons including traditional rulers from various parts of the country.  There, was, however an article birthed in mischief with a narrative that is  insidious, as usual and  authored by one of the morally bankrupt and educationally deficient media baboons of Governor Udom Emmanuel, an equally inept person. The article attempts to attach meanings to the unavoidable absence of Obong Nsima Ekere and Senator Godswill Obot Akpabio at the grand event.  The fact that the author of the article entitled NSIMA EKERE: THE BID TO MAKE OF AN INSOLENT A “GOVERNOR”, Mr. Emmanuel Nicholas, Special A
