The questions of who truly has solutions to the lingering youth unemployment, poor infrastructural maintenance, weak educational system, insecurity amongst other menace in the State, was put to rest yesterday, as the Governorship candidate of Action Democratic Party (ADP) in Akwa Ibom State, Honourable Ukeme Peter unveiled his noble lofty manifesto yesterday in Uyo, the state capital.
Addressing an enlarge state executive members of ADP at the party secretariat Uyo yesterday, Hon Ukeme Peter vowed to stem the tide of youth restiveness through creation of massive employment in all walks of life, reiterating that the rate of unemployment in the state is alarming.
While decrying the current decay in education sector in the State, he promised a complete turn around in the sector by ensuring quality learning environment, provision of teaching aides, training and retraining of manpower, timely provision of teacher's welfare as well as improved vocational education that would give the state it pride of place, if elected.
The ADP governorship candidate who hails from Nsit Ibom local government area in Uyo senatorial district, stated that his administration will clear the back log of bursary to deserving students in the state, scholarship, incentives and special package to law and medical students in the higher schools of learning.
"If i am elected as the governor come March 2, my administration will ensure prompt payments of student' bursary, we will clear the back log of it to those that deserves, we will give scholarship to our students, special yearly package for law and medical students and a lot more." He stressed.
"We will train our youths in different vocational skills to make them professionals in their field of endeavors, and we will employ them so that they can be useful to themselves and the state at large."
He mentioned that the Ibaka Dip Seaport which have been politicised for too long, will be completed and put to use by his administration within one year in office, the project he said, would increase the employment capacity in the State.
On the other hand, he declared that he will operate an all inclusive government where women, elders and the youths will be given sense of belonging in the comity of things.
Other items in the manifesto were the provision of adequate security, sound health system, agriculture and infrastructural building and maintenance.
On his part, the state chairman of the party, Hon Ubong Emmanuel thanked God for the speedy growth of the party through the length and breathe of the country.
He assured that ADP will win every other political parties in the forthcoming general election in Akwa Ibom state as well as replacing the APC led federal government at the centre.
The party helmsman called on Akwa Ibom people to see the candidature of Hon Ukeme Peter as a project that must be executed for the sake of youths, women and elders in the State.
