Protect your interest, Ekere tells Ikono/Ini People

The gubernatorial candidate  for the All Progressives Congress (APC) Obong Nsima Ekere said Ikono/Ini people are under obligation to protect their demands, interest, yearnings and aspirations through " hardwork for all APC Candidates in the forthcoming election in order to secure their future against deceit".

Ekere expressed regret over the deceitful nature of Governor Udom Emmanuel industrialisation policy and claims of establishing rice industry and road constructions in Ikono/Ini.

While addressing the mammoth crowd on Saturday in Ini Local Government Council Secretariat at Odoro Ikpe and Ikono stadium, during the APC campaign rally, he listed out the number of roads constructed in Ikono/Ini by APC government and assured the people of Ikono/Ini that there is nothing they will demand from his administration that they will not have when voted into office as the Executive Governor of Akwa Ibom State.

According to him, " there is nothing Ini and Ikono people will want from my government that they will not receive from me.

"I will open up Ini and Ikono local government area because it is a boarder local government area, in my manifesto Ikono/Ini is included as special development areas," he said.

On his part, Ikono/Ini APC Chapter Chairmen, Comrade Itoro Efrenie and Mr. Ubong Inyang, said the party's flag -bearers in the area have the capacity to represent the people effectively.

Barr. Edidiong Idiong was presented  as the Candidate for Ikono/Ini Federal Constituency and Hon. Nya Isong as Candidate for Ini State Constituency while Hon. Kenny Inyang Eka was presented as the Candidate for Ikono State Constituency.

Responding, the candidates vow in one accord promised to reposed the confidence on them by giving the people an effective representation as they will certainly be voted into office.

Speaking Senator Godswill Akpabio listed out all his Constituency project done in the area to include scholarship awards to Ikono/Ini students, roads constructions, building of market stalls, provision of borehole water and reticulation across some communities.

He called on the people of Ikono/Ini to vote him and all APC Candidates for more dividends of democracy in the area.

Also speaking a serving Councillor representing Ikpe ward 2, Governor Udom Emmanuel Commissioner for Women Affairs ward, Hon. Aniefiok Asuquo Offiong, who defected with the Governorship Candidate of Grand Alliance party along side with 15000 supporters, said he defected to APC because he  is not happy with the deceitful nature of PDP using the elected Lawmakers like house help.

He promised to join hands with the people of Ini local government area to vote PDP out of government in the forthcoming election.

Similarly, Mr. Godwin Enang, the CEO of Goddafi computers who also defected to APC gave a donation support of one million naira to APC and promised to work with the party to ensure that the Party succeeds in the forthcoming election.
