2019: EDIDIONG IDIONG SEEKS SPIRITUAL GUIDANCE, FLAG-OFF CAMPAIGN

The All Progressives Congress (APC)  candidate for Ikono/Ini Federal Constituency in the forthcoming House of Representatives election,  Barr. Edidiong Idiong led campaign team and supporters for a consecration service at the Christ Methodist Cathedral, Ibiaku Ntok Okpo, Ikono on Sunday, 25/11/2018.

The Very Rev. Dr. Albert Archobong while addressing the congregation traces the antecedents and past records of Late Chief Justice Effiong Idiong, said during his lifetime contributed immensely to the growth and welfare of the church.

He however added that Barr. Edidiong Idiong is also toying the footsteps of his late father, considering his endless sacrifices so far to the church.

Barr. Edidiong Idiong, an indigene of Mbio-Oku Ikot Odung village while admonished the church and supporters, commended the officiating ministers; Rt. Rev Sunday Akpanenua, Very Rev. Dr. Aniekan Nana, Very Rev. Anthony Essien and others on his fulfilment of the promised made to seek spiritual guidance and protection to kick off his campaign in the church auditorium.

He however emphasized that when elected, that he would also lead the people to God, while he unveiled his cardinal points agenda which includes building the future we hope to see and empowering the downtrodden.

Also speaking, a chieftain of the APC in the state, Rt. Hon. Paul Akpan Owo who happens to be the Director General (DG) of Barr. Edidiong Idiong Campaign Organization noted that God chose Edidiong Idiong the very best over the rest during the party primary to represent the people, and as his name implies that he will remain a blessing to the church, constituents and the state at large. While he also thanked the political stalwarts from the two sister local government areas who came to show solidarity to the candidate.

In the roll call, Sen. Alloysus Etok was spotted among other dignitaries that came to grace the occasion.
