APC opens new Party Secretariat in Norther Uruan Ward l

The All Progressives Congress, APC has opened a new party Secretariat in Uruan local government area.

The Secretariat is sited at Mbiaya Uruan, Northern Uruan Ward 1 which covers the six villages of Mbiaya Uruan, Ita Uruan, Ibikpe Uruan, Ikot Udo Uruan, Osong Uruan and Ikpa Uruan.

Performing the official inauguration of the Secretariat on Friday, the Chapter Chairman of the Party, Evangelist Bassey Effiong who said the APC was becoming overwhelmingly popular in the area, stated that inaugurating a Ward Secretariat in Mbiaya Uruan was very important so as to assist in offering space for the numerous programmes of the party.

Bassey Effiong, flanked by other party officials including the Opinion Leader, Engr Edet Umana; the Zonal Leader, Dr E. P. Effiong; the Deputy Zonal Leader, Obong Etido S. Essor and the Ward Leader, Pastor Nsikak Okokon, told the gathering that the idea behind the new Secretariat is to help the party work smoothly to achieve its purpose.

He called on all party men to go about their daily campaigns in an orderly manner, saying they should reject all manners of enticement from the ruling PDP and stay focus to the course of voting President Buhari, Obong Nsima Ekere and all other APC flag bearers.

Earlier in his welcome remarks, the Ward Chairman, Mr Mfon Christopher thanked God for the enablement given to the party to acquire the Secretariat.

He commended the APC governorship flag bearer, Obong Nsima Ekere for his relentless support and pledged that they will work to ensure that President Muhammadu Buhari and all candidates of the party are voted in the next year's general elections.

Highpoint  of the event was also the official reception of defectors numbering 241 who left the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP to find alliance with the APC.
