PDP STRUCTURES IN NSIT ATAI ARE INTACT – OTUEKONG RAPHAEL BASSEY

The Honorable Commissioner for Housing in Akwa Ibom State, Otuekong Raphael Bassey, has said that the exit of Sunny Elijah and his few political jobbers to “the other party” has not in any way affected the PDP in Nsit Atai as all structures are intact.

He made this known on Wednesday during a media briefing held in Odot, the headquarters of Nsit Atai Local Government Council, where all Ward and Chapter Executives of the PDP in Nsit Atai were present.

He said the PDP in Nsit Atai would have ignored the political propaganda orchestrated by one Sunny Elijah “whose fraudulent political antecedence” is well-known to the people, but for the purpose of clarity, the party decided to openly declare that the purported resignations of PDP Ward Executives in Nsit Atai, as circulated on news platforms, is falsehood taken too far.

“The resignation letters that were published on social media and other media platforms were all fake and with signatures forged by Sunny Elijah in his desperate bid to justify the money he collected from the APC to do their bidding.” The Commissioner said.

“We want to place it on record that no single PDP Ward Executive/Chapter Executive Member has defected to the APC. What transpired on Monday was a return to the APC of the same political harlots led by Sunny Elijah who defected to the PDP few months ago. It is now a fact beyond controversy that this same political jobbers of Sunny Elijah’s stock were in the PDP on assignment – to steal and to destroy our party. And because they could not succeed in achieving their evil agenda of hijacking the party structure and destroying the party, they have to return to where they came from. Nsit Atai is PDP and PDP is Nsit Atai!” He added.

Described as a “political harlot” by the Commissioner, Sunny Elijah, who defected from PDP to Labour Party to APC then back to PDP, within two years, defected back to the APC in company of Chief Sunny Ossom and Rt. Hon. Asuquo Darby Udoh on Monday 5th November 2018, at a ceremony held at Afaha Hall in Nsit Atai.

Stakeholders in Nsit Atai politics used the opportunity of the media briefing to congratulate the leader of the party in the state, His Excellency, Deacon Udom Emmanuel, on his emergence as the sole governorship candidate of the party in the forthcoming gubernatorial elections and commended him for the developmental strides recorded in the state in the last three years.

They also thanked the Governor for the appointing one of their sons, the political commander and torchbearer of Nsit Atai politics, Otuekong Raphael Bassey, as the Honorable Commissioner, Ministry of Housing.

They assured the Governor and the entire PDP family in Akwa Ibom State that Nsit Atai is unshaken, and that come 2019, all candidates of the party will be delivered.

Present at the briefing were the Member representing Nsit Atai State Constituency in the Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Mark Esset, Chairman Nsit Atai Local Government Council, Hon. Emem Ibanga, Zonal Officer PDP (South South), Rt. Hon Elder M.T. Akpan, Barr. Johnson Uduak, PDP Nsit Atai Chapter Chairman, Hon. Chysantus Okon, Leader of the Legislative Council, Hon. Ben Udoh Ben, SA Project Monitoring, Prince Enefiok Attah, SA to Governor on Grassroots Mobilization, Mr. Joseph Okon, RT. Hon. Smart Ben, MD Eminent Oil, Mr. Emmanuel Okon, Councilors, Chapter Excos, Ward Chairmen, Ward Women Leaders, Ward Excos, former Ward Excos and PDP faithfuls in the area.
