PDP RANKS SWELL IN IKONO WARD 9, 10, 11 ors



...As more APC loyalists denounce the broom sect

The PDP ward rally today held at Ediene Ward 10 witnessed the decamping of 138 APC members from the 13 units making up the ward. The Ward Chairman, Monday Etukakpan, Mr. Sylvanus Inyang, Councillor of the ward, Nsini NkopOruk, Political leader of Ward 10, Edet Umotong, Former Council Boss were on ground to receive the new PDP entrants.

The Councillor of the ward, Hon. Sylvanus Inyang in his speech assured them that were now bonafide members of the party and eligible to enjoy all the entitlements  that accrue. He described PDP in the State as a religion while thanking the new converts on their brave decision.

At Ediene Ward 9, the Councillor of the Ward, Hon. Ekpema Mbaba, Barr. O.B. Akpan and Chairman Ward 9 Elders Forum, Akparawa Charly Umoh received the over 200 defectors from the 14 units making up the ward. One of the defectors said her allegiance to the APC yielded no dividends as the broom swept away favour, open doors and good tidings from her home hence her decision to find shelter under the umbrella. The council helmsman, Hon. Itoro Columba,  who was also present thanked the ward for seeing the light while assuring them that some of the infrastructural challenges of the ward would be solved. He urged the new converts to collaboratively vote for all the PDP Candidates for the progress and prosperity of Ikono.

At Itak Ward 11, the home ward of the Local Government Chairman, the Chairman himself, Hon. Itoro Columba, State Legal Adviser of the Party, Barr. Goddy Umoh, Chapter Chairman of the Party, Barr. Moses Akpan received the defectors. The Chapter Chairman in his speech said PDP was reformed and rebranded to deliver maximally. He welcomed the decampees to the party which he said promotes life, prosperity and employment. Across the 3 wards visited today, the repentant APC members handed in their brooms and other PDP insignia for burning.
