Competence and Capacity: Barr Edet Ikotidem begins his Campaigns
It is going to be fruitful this time for the people of Itu/Ibiono Ibom Federal Constituency at the Federal House of Representatives after the outcome of the 2019 elections as a front line contender and APC Candidate for the office, Barr Edet Ikotidem has flagged off his campaign.
Moving with the campaign theme, "Golden Mandate 2019, ... Service with a Difference", and having its slogan as, " Capacity, Don't Settle for Less", Barr Edet Ikotidem moved with his team to the Presbyterian Church Nigeria, Ibiaku where he presented his campaign materials for prayers.
Speaking in Church, Ikotidem stated that it was time for the people of his constituency to get it right. He said he was not contesting against anyone as Itu/Ibiono Ibom people were already prepared to get effective and efficient representation.
He told the Church that according to the Scripture, he was there to present himself before God as well as present his campaign materials which shall soon be spread across the whole length and breath of the constituency.
Barr Ikotidem equally used the opportunity to thank his church for offering to pray for God's wisdom upon his life so he could perform his duties according to the needs and expectations of his constituents and in accordance with the will of God.
Minister in charge and other anointed men of God thanked God for a son like Barr Ikotidem, saying his victory is sure and will be fruitful for the people of his constituency who are yearning for efficient and effective representation.
Edet Ikotidem who hails from Itu Udo Village (Ward 4) in Ibiono Ibom local government area of Akwa Ibom State, is an astute lawyer, an outstanding entrepreneur, an accomplished businessman and a seasoned politician of no mean repute.
Ikotidem who is offering himself to speak for his constituents at the green chambers, is a leader with great vision and unparalleled depth of imagination. Speaking with newsmen after the Church event, Ikotidem noted that "at a time when the people of Itu/Ibiono Ibom Federal Constituency are faced with a big challenge of inept, spineless and ineffective representation, the real solution is to pick a representative with appropriate leadership, aptitude and the moral courage to offer selfless service and restore the constituency to its pride of place in legislative representation".
