It has been confirmed that the evil bird (owl) said to be found in the chambers of the Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly has been manipulated by the 'factional' members led by Barr Onofiok Luke.

A strong source at the centre of the conspiracy has said the House of Assembly under the leadership of Speaker Onofiok Luke is making plans to shift their sitting ground to the Chambers of the State Council of Chiefs.

The State Council of Chiefs has its chambers at the Ministry of Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs in the Government House, Wellington Bassey Way, Uyo.

The source disclosed that the evil bird which was seen at the Assembly Chambers had been brought there by the factional members who were in custody of the Assembly soon after the five members had been hunted out of the complex by the Governor Udom Emmanuel led 'mob'.

The source who pleaded anonymity explained that the State Council of Chiefs Chambers is under a serious and speedy renovation.

He concluded that the plan is to make the factional legislators have an alternative place where they can 'sneak' in and carry out 'illegal' plenary sessions without fear.

Meanwhile, the House of Assembly led by Speaker Onofiok Luke yesterday had a valedictory session at the Assembly Complex, in memory of a former member, Ikono State Constituency, Dr Clement Bassey, who served during the Third and Fourth assemblies, between 2003 and 2011.
