I'm here to fight crime says CP AbangAba

The Commissioner of Police Akwa Ibom State Command, CP John Abang has said that he is here to fight crime in the state and not a member of any political party.
He said this today during a familiarity visit to the press community, at Nigerian Union of Journalist, NUJ Secretariat Uyo.
In his words, "if you are a criminal I'm going to inconvenience you. We are the first responder to criminality. I'm very simple and straight forward and no criminal would be in the state.
"I will work with the rule of law to ensure no voilation of human rights among the people of the state", Abang stressed.
He assured the people of the state global best policing.
The Chairman, NUJ Elder Patrick Albert in his remarked express delight as the key elements of the enforcement of the law.
He commended CP Abang and his men for synergy in information dissemination among others.
He assured him of media favorable coverage while in the state.
"We in Akwa Ibom we report what we see not when we see. We will need you in our annual event press week 2018, with the theme: 'the journalist and the ballot box.'
