As the political momentum begin to gather, the Commissioner of Police Akwa Ibom State Command, CP John Abang has said that it alert us, the Nigeria Police Force, NPF that there's life after elections and it must not be winner, winner no looser come 2019 general elections.

Abang stated this today during political parties stateholders meeting held at NPF State Command, Ikot Akpan ABIA.

In his words, "elections is the process under democracy where electorates choose candidates of their choice through the vehicle known as political parties as enshrined in the 1999 Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria as amended: freedom of association.

"Political parties are to campaign for vote from the electorates by the rules of the umpire. NPF with other sister agencies will collaborate to provide security. We will be fare while carry out our duty in line with global best practices.

"It is our mutual responsibilities to allow ballot box speak, let voters exercise their franchise and I implore you to go back and campaign. It is not do or die affairs. Tell the electorates what you will do for them. Let this elections be voilence free. My duty is to be neutral.'', Abang stated.

He called on political parties stateholders to go out there camvas for vote, which is the legitimate reason of the party.

 CP Abang assured that every Nigerians that is up 18 years and above will be given an opportunity to vote not fight.


The Independent Electoral Commission, INEC, Akwa Ibom State Resident Electoral Commissioner, REC Bar. Mike Igini said that the there will be result in every polling unit be across the state.

Bar. Igini who was represented by, INEC Administrative Official Mr. Chris said that all the activities of the political parties campaign will be mornitor to ensure compliance and peaceful outing.

The Chairman, Civil Liberty Organization, CLO Akwa Ibom State Chapter, Otuekong Franklin Isong called on political parties in the state to sign peace Accord with the security agencies.

He maintained that elections has to do with the politicians, law enforcement agencies, INEC, CLO. Adding that political parties must accept failure. Politicians must change the attitude of 'I must win' and desist from hate speech.

Highlight of the event was interactive session with all political parties stateholders of Akwa Ibom State.
