PDP living in Glass House and Throwing Stones - Ita Enang

...says Ikotidem competent, outspoken for Itu/Ibiono Ibom FHR

The Senior Special Assistant to the President on National Assembly Matters (Senate), Senator Ita Solomon Enang has described the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) as a people who are not afraid to throw stones, though they live in a glass house.

Ita Enang made the assertion Monday in Itu local government area while addressing supporters of the All Progressives Congress (APC), during the campaign flag off of the APC candidate for the Itu/Ibiono Ibom Federal Constituency in the 2019 election, Barr Edet Ikotidem.

Enang who spoke through the former Akwa Ibom State APC Secretary General, Mr Charles Effiong, maintained that the PDP was not competent enough to talk about injustice as they have been the ones perpetrating injustice all along.

Enang who reminded the PDP that he who goes to equity must go with clean hands, condemned their sudden out burst about injustice, adding that APC, a refined party was prepared to do justice and would not pay them back in the same coin.

"APC is a party of justice who will not pay them back in the same coin. The PDP have been conducting elections with injustice. In 2015 they did so and in 2017, they did same during the local government election. Tell them not to provoke us again.

"As for the 2019 election and the candidacy of Barr Edet Ikotidem, we all are witnesses to his competence and outspoken prowess. He has character and charisma and would roundly defeat Henry Archibong who has woefully failed the people of Itu/Ibiono Ibom by his abysmal performance".

Others who spoke at the event included Rt Hon Bassey Etim, the APC candidate for Akwa Ibom North Senatorial District who regretted that Henry Archibong was a bad luck to his constituents.

Also speaking, the Director General of ONE Campaign, Prof Etok Ekanem said God had immediately abandoned Governor Udom Emmanuel after he swore an oath of office to have been elected with more 900 thousand votes in an election where only about 400 thousand people were accredited to vote.

Similarly, the celebrator, Barr Edet Ikotidem who took his time to outline the developmental strides of President Muhammadu Bubari and why the President and the governorship candidate of the APC, Obong Nsima Ekere should be voted in the 2019 general elections, promised that he would follow the footsteps of Senator Ita Enang who gave his people effective representation at the Federal House of Representatives.

He said as a lawyer and business man with just three children who are all graduates with gainful employment, he has the single purpose of bringing development to his constituents.

Ikotidem said he would have a functional constituency office where he shall meet his people on a monthly basis to consult them on all issues so as to allow their opinions prevail in all matters he shall address in Abuja.
